There are dozens if not hundreds of ways preparing this most famous russian soup. I have my own way. Please notice, that I do not measure anything. I don't know how much water I need to put. No idea about how much meat and cabbage I need. I do know that I will need 3-4 medium sized beets. Additionally, I add spices that typically do not go into "traditional" russian borsch. So basically, I do my own version. Please do not try this at home.

To prepare borsch the right way, you will need right equipment. First, you will need a kitchen. You can try to cook you borsch in your living room, even bedroom, but practice tells me that the best place took cook borsch, for that matter, any other food, is the kitchen.
